Why Settle For Less?
The price of sequencing of a panel of genes vs. exome vs. genome continues to shrink. Meanwhile, the value of sequencing the entire genome grows exponentially each day as research unearths its complex message.
Now, we must reconsider the cost/benefit analysis used to judge the clinical impact of genomic sequencing. The richness of genomic information greatly outweighs the minor savings from sequencing single genes. Not to mention the likely possibility that multiple rounds of sequencing, and added costs, are typically required with this approach. These are exciting times and for the first time in the history of mankind we have the technology to look within each of us to learn exactly what makes us tick, and maybe even how to change the rhythm.
WHY WAIT TO KNOW?
